for how long will you allow the rain to fall down
on me
when will you begin to see that I am in love
with you
for too long I have held on to this
colourless nothingness
one year and ten months trying to speak to you
is your heart a heart of stone
open that I may come inside
listen- here I speak:
even the birds have stopped singing the song of love
because they feel pity for my heart’s deep suffering
why are you failing to understand! ?
I have seen them coming in and out, taking turns:
your lovers
but none can love you the way I love you
take my hand and let us walk run-away fly
like the birds leaving this world behind
to the world of dreams-come-true
of the rainbow and the rising-sun
