For No Fault Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

For No Fault

Rating: 5.0

It is nice to greet a person with good morning
That gives sound reciprocation with no warning
Any man may move visibly with nice address
The happiness then can be seen on the face

'Nice weather here´ she addressed me as dear
I considered her as reliable friend and felt no fear
I said 'nice evening here with rain clouds over'
She was feeling little irritation for finding a cover

'I am persecuted relentlessly for no fault'
She started by saying it and came to heavy bolt
'My son is taken away and put behind bar'
'I have been pushed away and shunted very far'

I learnt from her that such thing is happening in liberal country
Where people are right conscious and value for liberty
'The state police are after our liquidation'
'I fear lot and anticipate more pressure with intimidation'

I was getting no pitch to get it right
Why at all she had to struggle and offer fight?
'I may have to flee the country leaving behind my dog and son'
They are making excuses to frame us with false reasons

I found out her to be literate with knowledge as translator
She was working on pay roll with some religious center
State authority might have found some objectionable material
So was the cause of all irritation and start of troubles

'I fear for my life and they may kill me anytime'
'I want to flee from this country at given time'
But I shall not be allowed and my son may be killed
Nothing shall occur on this earth until He has willed

I believe in human rights but individual must too respect
The prevailing laws and behaves in no detrimental acts
You loose then all rights in any manner to react
The best way is to prove before authority the real facts

No country can ill afford human violation
It has direct bearing on diplomatic relation
If one involves against human code
The situation is likely to explode
