For The First Time Poem by Ronald Chapman

For The First Time

On that cold autumn night,
When the moon turned velvet red,
The stars flew across the night sky like Angels bringing hope,

Our shy hands took hold,
I remember feeling love for the first time,

Like magic,
The feelings of loneliness and pain vanished,

We fell into each other's arms,
Hugging and kissing,
Never wanting to let go,

Hoping this wasn't a dream.
