For The Love In Waiting Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

For The Love In Waiting

A quiet ache lingers in the stillness,
a breath held between moments.
Time stretches, taut and trembling,
its edges blurred by longing.

The world moves, yet here it pauses,
each second heavy with absence.
In the waiting, there is a presence---
a shadow of what will come.

The heart, patient but restless,
beats to a rhythm only I can hear,
a song of promises whispered
to the silence that listens.

For love waits not in idleness,
but in the careful tending
of hope, of dreams, of tender resolve,
rooted deep in the soil of tomorrow.
