For You Father Poem by Vishwath Balachandar

For You Father

Rating: 4.8

Words fail when I tell of this tale,
Of a great father whose
Nobel deeds that made me relish,
The bliss of joy in every way

Your arms are the shoulder that I seek
Where I slumber in peace,
Safely away on those woeful days
Away from those foul plays kept at bay

Your hands held me gently from the day I took
My first breath and guided
Me as I took my first step
You held me tight when tears started to fall
And showed me that you were there to take care of all

Your words make me strong,
Teaching me what is right and wrong
With a smile you say it all and
That’s what make you differ from all

You are the one who thought my life
How not to fight but win it through wisdoms might
You are one, who cares for me,
Your wisdom eyes that help me see

Let me not fail in your perfect steps
As thou for me to be in self
And so take my hands as I make flight,
In those darker lands beyond my sight

You are the sun light in my day
The moon on my night that I see far away
A tree that I lean upon
You are the one that makes my woe depart

You had given your all and
Made sure I travel on safe
To my journey west
Even on your pain on it,
Father! I love you more than all

You are simply the best dad
The best gift that I will ever have
You were there when I was scared
Thank you for that unending care
What a great blessing the God has bestowed on me!
For me to get a great father like you
A father who loves me true,
I take a bow to the stars above
For you are the first of them
Who made my dreams come true

Thank you father for all your
Sacrifices and patience endure
You are truly a great father of all
Whom I truly love more than all
Happy birthday daddy…

Beautiful tribute to a father who is also a doting dad, well articulated and nicely penned from inner recesses of the heart, with love and appreciation. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

A son who loves his parent so much will surely be blessed in all ways. There is no way children can ever repay what the parents do. You have made you father proud by writing such a wonderful poem.. Full marks
