Forbid Arts Love Poem by Danny Draper

Forbid Arts Love

Forbid arts love

Midnight has quietened
Fresh day from it seeps,
Around me family sleeps
Too soon again to surface
Work day belies a purpose,
Life sustained in each met bill
Dreams distract from daily mill,
Half hour already leaked from sleep
Monday's promises yet to keep
I'd best cash my yawns for slumber
Forbid arts love may bring asunder,
An hour already passed.
