Forever Matcha At Starbucks Poem by Krysten Palen

Forever Matcha At Starbucks

Back in 2016, I recall the scene,
Matcha was bitter, unpleasant, unclean.
One sip on my tongue, I wanted to flee,
It felt like the drink was not meant for me.

But 2023 brought a shift in my way,
A stable job blessed me, good earnings each day.
Once, twice, or four times, with joy I partake,
At Starbucks I sit, with my matcha to take.

I'd read of its health, its gift to the soul,
My brother adored it, it made him feel whole.
The thought stirred a craving, it started to grow,
And soon it became a love I now know.

I've tried other cafés, their matcha falls short,
Yet Starbucks delivers the finest of sort.
A venti hot latte, pure matcha in hand,
Forever my drink, the best in the land.

Though money runs thin, I'll still find a way,
For matcha inspires me, brightens my day.
Again and again, this love shall remain,
A sip of pure joy through sunshine and rain.
