It's been six months, perhaps even more,
No job in my hands, no work to explore.
Yet humbled I stand, for I clearly see,
How fragile money and time can be.
For seven long years I worked with pride,
This pause is the first on life's winding ride.
Though empty my pockets, my spirit won't fall,
For lessons are louder than silence's call.
I'm grateful to siblings, their love holds me tight,
Their presence a beacon, their care a light.
In them I've discovered who truly will stay,
The ones I can trust when all fades away.
This season is fleeting, a shadow, not fate,
A test of my patience, to strengthen, not break.
When I rise again, success in my hand,
My family will always be my promised land.
