I can't believe I'm here once more,
In this small room with an open door,
Learning things I thought I'd never find,
Sharing smiles that feel so kind.
And there's that quiet crush I keep,
A gentle warmth I'll never reap,
He's not for me, yet still he stays,
A fleeting light in these brief days.
Through the window, the city sighs,
Tall towers reach for painted skies.
Green trees sway in the evening's tune,
While gold spills softly across the room.
The sunset glows, my heart beats fast,
I try to hold this moment last,
Yet tears escape, they softly gleam,
Like fading light in a tender dream.
The hush arrives, I feel their stare,
The trainer asks why tears are there.
I laugh, I lie, "Oh, it's nothing at all, "
Though truth beats loud in my chest's small hall.
It isn't sorrow, not fully so,
It's love for the place I soon must go.
For I was blessed to sit in this space,
To meet warm hearts, to see each face.
And when my plane takes me away,
South Korea calls at the break of day,
I'll hold this sunset, pure and true,
Grateful for all, and for all of you.
