In The Blink Of A Workplace Poem by Krysten Palen

In The Blink Of A Workplace

I walked to a company close to my place,
Applied with no hurry, just faith and some grace.
Assessments were given, interviews too,
To my surprise, I passed right through.

Three long years since I last wore that crown,
The industry shifted, yet I did not frown.
The process was quick, like a breeze in the sun,
I told myself daily: "Just learn and have fun."

My teammates were kind, their spirits so bright,
We lifted each other with laughter and light.
A med tech was there, so clever, so sweet,
His joy in the moment made work feel complete.

A month flew by, each day a delight,
Moments I cherished, both humble and bright.
The last day came heavy, a storm in disguise,
Yet perhaps it's a sign, a blessing in wise.

Though brief was the journey, I'm thankful it came,
With lessons and friendships, no day was the same.
I leave with a heart full of joy I have won,
For life is remembered by times we had fun.
