I don't know if you realize
How dear you are to me
How miles and states between us
Have merely served to be
A pleasant, sweet reminder
Of the many years we've known
A special gift, a treasured time
Of growing on our own
Our lives have changed, the years have passed
And hours have scurried by
While in our hearts a friendship thrives
And tells the reason why
That life is ever precious and it's matters of the heart
That keep us grounded, light our way
Though we are far apart
