Forget You Poem by Elizabeth Jacqueline Mpanga

Forget You

Rating: 4.5

So you call after a month,
Just to say hi you say,
I wonder if you thought it through before you dialed my number
Whatever made you think I would be happy to hear from you is beyond me
Not after what you put me through,
Not after all the lies and the way you treated me
Whatever happened to honesty?
I never kept anything from you,
Bad or good I revealed all to you
At least I gave you a chance to make an informed decision
You took that away from me when you lied
And somehow you think I will get over it and take you back in my life
I don't want anything from you,
I don't want your greetings,
I don't want your concern,
I don't want your friendship
I don't want anything from you,
All I want is to forget you and everything that reminds me of you
Don't misunderstand me,
I don't hate you, I am just indifferent
Hating you would be attaching to much importance to you
So please just leave me alone.
