Forgetting You. Poem by Dislocated Heart

Forgetting You.

I met a girl.. sweet and innocent..
Said she'll never cheat.. nor lie..
a year and 3 months later..

I found her in another mans arms..
smiling and happy..

She insist nothing happened..
but the pictures don't lie..
The way you act around him..
proves your every word is denied.

I asked.. if you would ever tell me,
if another man was in your life..
You said of course..

that night.. what I saw in your eyes.. was all a lie.

I held you close for one last night.. kissed you.. as if everything was alright..
today.. I'm forgetting we ever had a thing..
today.. I am forgetting the day we started..
the first kiss..
the first movie we watched..
and I'm forgetting.. how you looked at him..

Today.. I am forgetting you.
