Forgive A Man Can, Scarce Forget
It is hard
To forgive and forget, as
If nothing happened has,
But no so hard
To forgive and go forward,
Man being no forgetful bird,
Easy that can forget his dard1.
Easy can man ward
Off a happy moment,
Seldom painful torment!
