Forgive Us Lord That So Many Things

forgive us Lord that so many things

seem infinitely more lucrative, you can't miss,

a sure fire thing

than your lovely banished Wing

still hovering near us banded with o! all rainbows.

what do we do we are like infants still

not knowing what we want

and cross with every thing

and spoiling our dinner.

let us remember Who you are

the One who made the Star, all roses

planets and ordained

that we should dream to ride the wind

I do. under the shelter of your Wing

and only then
