Forgotten Poem by Amy Louise Kerswell

Forgotten

Rating: 5.0

If anyone will listen to what I have to say.
Please understand the pain that strayed my heart.
Please understand how I got this way.
Now you'll see why things have to be this way.
Left behind in the shadows of darkness.
In the silence and scary nights.
I prayed for someone hear me,
friend, foe, or even Jesus Christ.
just to see me and help me.
Caught between fear and doom.
Never heard never seen.
Waiting for someone to hear my desperate cries.
No one heard me or saw me in time.
My cries went unanswered
I knew I couldn't do it any more.
So with my hollow heart.
I knew what i had to do.
The ivy had already strangled me.
In life I could not breathe.
Please listen to what I have to say.
I need to to make this clear.
There's nothing that could of been done.

Intense and emotional plea for a listening ear going unrewarded until you voiced your need in a poem. Very strong and honest depiction, poignant imagery and lasting echoes of desperate cries ringing now through the world. Amazing poem, Amy! Thank you for sharing your heart. RoseAnn
