Forgotten Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

Forgotten

I know I made a mistake
in not calling you sooner
But you cut me off
like a complete stranger.
Forgotten is the laughter
we shared together
Forgotten, the heartfelt words
we said to each other.
I know I have no claim,
that you aren't mine
But I can't forget so soon,
you still linger in my mind.
You didn't give another chance
took leave without a glance
And I'm still at a loss to say,
What could've I done,
to make you stay.
