Forty Quatrains On Battlefield [6- 8] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Forty Quatrains On Battlefield [6- 8]

Rating: 5.0

6.Chozhan Chenganan had a beautiful chest decked with
jewels- laid stones and fleeting strong chariots. In the battlefield,
where he butchered his foes, the elephants slain were piled up high
in all the sides. It looked alike the huge cleaved mountains struck by
the roaring thunders from the sky, laid one on one.

7.Chozhan Chenganan owned a country fed by the Kaveri river where
the red-eyed and striped Butterfish leap on. He slaughtered his foes
and their elephants in plenty in the battlefield. The pachyderms looked like the blue hills turned to Vermilion hills after the war.

8.Choazhan Chenganan who had the thundering drum decked with
ornaments, and the streaming Kaveri river, slew the foes and elephants.
The arrows which hit the elephants shrouded the bodies
of the elephants like the innumerate younglings of the sparrows
pecking together.
