Forty Quatrains On Battlefield [9- 11] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Forty Quatrains On Battlefield [9- 11]

9.Chozhan Chenganan, the king of a Kaveri-watering land killed
the foes in the warfront. The infantry soldiers were attacking
the cavalryand chopped off their legs. The slipper and the anklet from the severed legs, splashed on the field. And they appeared the starving Sharks leaped off in the lake.

10.The water-abundant Kaveri flowed through and made fertile the land
Of Chozhan chenganan, who butchered the foes in the battlefield.
The tired herd of elephants weren't worried as the arrows struck them.
The dead elephants looked like the mountains golden veined
as the blood smeared on the elephants.

11.The untiring fighter Chozhan butchered his foes in the war.
The drums of the beaten foes got blood stained and became useless.
The wounded elephants by the weapons, lost their sight.
The elephants kicked the drums in rage and made the sound of the dashing clouds.
