Four Pearls Inlaid Ornament [quatrains 8- 10] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Four Pearls Inlaid Ornament [quatrains 8- 10]

Rating: 5.0

10. The wise recall not grievous memories of the past deeds.
Hard workers think not of the pains of labour.
The evil-doers aren't mindful of the moral virtues.
Wrathful men bid bye to all the meritorious things.

11. The paddy and sugarcane lend beauty to the fields.
The Lotus flowers give grace to the waterful ponds.
Modesty enhances feminine excellence.
Deeds of virtues minding the next birth make men great.

12. The elephants are tied to stone-posts
to down their ire. Words of charm mesmerize
the cobras. Fetters rein the low-born.
But pleasing words lure the wise.
