Fragile Blooms Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Fragile Blooms

In the beautiful garden of life
many flowers thrive and bloom
Some are rare and uniquely fragrant
filling the air with a rare perfume

There is a revered rose that is exceptional
It has small delicate blush colored petals
evoking emotions like the words of a prayer
Each passing year it returns and revels

Today the fragile blooms adorn a final display
On a summer day that follows a brief shower
A day to celebrate a lifetime… carved in stone
Lovingly bidding farewell at this somber hour
