Fraudulent Life Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fraudulent Life

Anyone who has only known,
A fraudulent life to live.
Can not be expected,
To flourish and bloom into a saint.
Or become someone other,
Than a person they ain't!
That is not the deck of cards,
From which they have learned to play.
And that will be played,
With developed skill and expertise.
To discover as time passess,
Difficult to teach,
Lessons identified that involves.
Humanity.
Or...
Remorse to feel for misdeeds done.
When those misdeeds to perform and do,
Gives one the attention...
They seek with this to prove,
How powerful deception can be.
By using others to become their fools.
And choosing which ones,
To lavish with charm and flattery.
As accessories and nothing more.
With those 'accessories',
Expected to keep protected...
Delusions to defend,
An onslaught of unending pretensions!
