*free Verse) The Chilliwack Bump1936

Between Vancouver BC and the town of Chilliwack
there is a sudden dip in the road which, if approached
at just the right speed, will cause all four tires of your
car to take to the air to the great delight of the occupants.
It took about two hours to make the journey to
Grandma Anderson's motel in Chilliwack.About twenty
minutes before we arrived we would come to the bump with
the great anticipation of flight. It was common practise to
tell any kid who had napped to inform him or her that the
great event had been missed. "Mom! !... No you didn't...
it's... coming up."
Our vehicle was a ten-year old Hupmobile which made a
fine rattling descent after its flight...WHUMMMPPP!
One day the unbelievable happened. Our Dad in an
impulse ... after the bump ... turned around and we did
it again.Needless to say we were impressed by this
unaccustomed show of youthful fun and his points hit the
top of the chartSuch a delight was remembered always
and discussed at great length..Thanks Dad.

" He'll be coming around the mountain when he whummmppps." I suppose they made the round " better" now and eliminated the dip?
