Freedom [from A Cynic's Eye] Poem by MKGF ...

Freedom [from A Cynic's Eye]

Rating: 5.0

At last! I breathe...
Freedom...
No more questions in my mind,
no more doubt nor fear.

My mind, my soul
My spirit breaks away
Beyond this wounded,
Earthy land.

And so I pause,
I soar in feathery weight
Happiness within reach
From the sapphire cottony sky.

Elated I sigh...
Freedom...Ah...Freedom
I hold you in my heart
As I await once more...

To see life
Through a cynic's eye.

'I soar in feathery weight'... but would't you want to stay there...and not be a cynic again!

That was just beautiful. I feel that way always when I step out of my classroom door at school! And when I leave the airport on a plane to go on a holiday. And most likely when I finally get these braces off in two years. I only got them on today! Fantabulistical poem. Abster.
