Freely funded

Am I a real voter?
I doubt and utter in disgust
was this the reason Gandhiji Fasted?
is this the way the country has lasted?

who writes about democracy?
and cares not for our country
who does not go to vote!
and thus the fate is sealed

the communal card is only played
we are all dismayed
but who is to be blamed?
we, the people, are to be condemned

we raise no protest against the corruption
only make selfish interest first before the nation
the politicians are from our criminal breed
we only give them a platform to feed

we want everything free hoses, loan waiver
and then try to flee
from responsibility and hang or suicide
who is going to decide?

has anybody thought over the poor and middle-class people?
how do they live with no income or meager one to struggle?
we have now become criminal minded
as in the election, we are freely funded
