*-* Friends 2, We Meet, Kisses (3 Tanka) - Poem by Ben Gieske

dog and lizard
resting on a log
sometimes
friends don’t need to look very far
they just meet

looking up
looking down
an upside-down tree
we both
arrive where we plan to be

where land and sea kiss
along the shore
there you will find
that beauty
where heart and soul meet

A glorious trio of poetic coupling. You use your words sparingly, communicating the heart of each picture.
'...friends don’t need to look very far, they just meet.' says it all.
