Friends Poem by George Bernard Hough

Friends

Friends there are who live next door,
in times of need
at hand for sure.

Friends may live just down the street,
we say hello
each time we meet

Fiends as well who live away
i may not see
from day to day

Friends from days of long ago,
we keep in touch
our children grow.

Friends we``ve never met at all,
mean just as much
in life`s roll call.

Friends may leave this earths terrain
but still stay in our mind,
we hope, sometime, we`ll meet again.

friends are what we humans need
to help us live
a life that`s rich in word and deed.

For friends are what make humans care
so keep them close,
their lives you share..
