Friendship Ii Poem by ramesh rai

Friendship Ii

Friendship is an unbreakable bond,
Much like the union of milk and water;
Standing by one's friend even amidst the fire,
It maintains a connection that cannot be severed.

Lord Jagannath Himself set
An unparalleled example of friendship,
When the Lord of Dwarka honored
His bond with the poor Brahmin, Sudama.

He cherished such a friendship with Sudama—
Shri Krishna ran barefoot
Upon hearing the sound of His friend's arrival.

He taught the lesson of friendship,
Defining it for the world through His own example:
If you wish to be a friend, then be one—
Be a friend like Krishna and Sudama.
