A fringed leaf frog, I like to do
Peeking from the fringe of a leaf,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
In my own camouflage motif,
Blending in perfectly so that
To peekers back at me I look
Like part of the leaf habitat,
A hide in plain sight hiding nook.
In Amazon rain forests, my
Kind live in trees for all of life,
And we can peek down from up high,
Protected from a lot of strife.
When you come by, at you I'll peek.
How good are you at hide and seek?
