From A Pinch Meant Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

From A Pinch Meant

If I should pinch you,
Would that doing hurt.
Worse to feel,
Like words you pick.
To know the act,
Done to do is meant to sting.

If I should say,
Leave me alone go away.
Would you associate that,
With something you did.
Or would you have others believe,
You can say and do to me what you please.
Yet they and I,
Should accept that's the way you are.
Demeaning, disrespectful and thoughtless.
But me?
You could care less who I am.
Or feel about anything to bother to ask.

If I should pinch you.
Would you wonder why.
Or would you lie to others to say,
I attacked you for no reason.
And left you with pain to feel,
For the rest of your life!
Like lessons you still yet to have learned,
By the ones you despise...
Who tried to teach you 'something! '
Anything,
That will enlighten your limited mind!
