From Birds Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

From Birds

From birds

I find no fear
And so drop no tears
But feel the apathy
And real poverty

Some people are poor
With feelings in literature
And find no words of tolerance
And stay worthless, hence

I want smile
Everywhere in simple style
Where I can peep for humanity
And find natural continuity

Let one word emerge
On golden page
With simple desire
Hate should be always on fire

I lay down on ground
And try to hear the current underground
The water flow beneath and lava just boiling
It should not come out for killing

So I lean
Over to scene
Variety might be seen
Echo shall be heard from birds keen

Love I interpret
And get
Impression of everlasting joy
And thus I sit alone and sing to enjoy
