From The Inside Done Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

From The Inside Done

No one is defeated,
From the inside done.
Not if one is strong enough,
To know from where their strength comes.
No one is defeated,
From the inside done.
Unless they're like so many,
Living without any and not having none.

Belief and faith,
Takes a keeping not to leave.
No matter how impossible,
Their long rainy days.
Their sunless cloudy skies.
Or disappointments that arise.

Belief and faith,
Can remove those gloomy moments.
To dry tears from eyes.
And whip defeat to beat it.
No matter where it hides.
In disguise.

Faith to keep it,
Can beat...
A defeat up.
One's faith to keep it.
From the inside done.
Will have them facing anything.
To know from where their faith comes.

One's faith to keep it,
From the inside done.
Will chase away,
That feeling of defeat.
To have it beaten.
And left no longer felt to greet!
