Full Of Flavor Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Full Of Flavor

Flavors of lifesavers and which one does your heart taste like?

I would say wintergreen - sweet but not too sweet
Tart, full of flavor
Not too peppermint, not too green

On the tip of my tongue
You taste like medicine
No pleasure in consumption but good for you

Wintergreen tastes like medicine
But doesn't leave the medicine-y taste

Flavors of tasers shocking the buds
Putting them into convulsions
Don't fill my life, bro, with visions of things I will never experience

I can't taste anything, I can't feel anything
I blindly flail around as if the phone had rung in the middle of the night
The water glass on the table next to my bed is empty
