Galactic Disc Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Galactic Disc

Rating: 5.0

A silver saucer in silken skies unfurled,
A quiet watcher of a sleeping world.
No warmth it offers but a gentle gleam,
A ghostly presence in a midnight dream.

It pulls the tides with an unseen command,
A cosmic rhythm across the sleeping land.
A beacon shining through the darkest night,
A lonely traveler in celestial flight.

It paints the landscapes in a monochrome hue,
A world of shadows forever fresh and new.
A silent story etched in cratered face
Of ancient journeys in this timeless space.

It whispers secrets to the listening breeze
Of hidden wonders and forgotten seas.
A universal mirror reflecting back our gaze,
A mystery unfolding in starlit hazy maze.

A constant presence in the ever-changing sky,
The moon's soft glow as time goes drifting by.
A voiceless promise in the velvet black,
A solace in gray on a lonely track.
