Bathe Your Heart - Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

R-ising sun shines early,
O-ctober eleventh morn;
N-ew dawn has broken
A-t the day when you were born.
L-et the beacon bathe your heart,
Y-our mind and soul too;
N-ight chill has disappeared into the dark, gray and blue.

R-ays from up above
A-re making a fresh start;
N-either dusk nor twilight,
A-llow the sun to bathe
Y-our heart.

    You write so eloquently! I just came here from Heartaches Will Never Last and I've noticed an excellent use of color in both poems to illustrate your ideas. Beautiful imagery, and it connects so well with the reader! (Report) Reply

    An intriguing approach to a Birthday poem. Not just as an acrostic, but your choice of imagery is not the typical birthday fare. I applaud your creativity and the freshness of your perspective. Well done! (Report) Reply
