Visions Of Fame And Fortune Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Visions Of Fame And Fortune

Rating: 5.0

V-isions of fame and fortune
A-re deep inside your mind;
N-ever let them fade,
N-or let them stay behind.
I-n the visions of fame and fortune, dreams are clearly seen;
E-arly eighth of October, your goal is a perfect scene.

B-uying house and cars
R-emains in your sight;
A-im at the glorious life,
Z-one of gold is bright.
I-t's time to fight poverty and bring it to oblivion;
L-et your eyes view the visions of fame and fortune.

A brilliant poem, Bernard! I love the way that you have perfectly contrasted fame and fortune with fighting poverty. Your goal is a perfect scene: putting materialistic wealth aside in favour of spiritual wealth. Congratulations on a very well deserved Poem Of The Day! !

I have had visions of fame and fortune and I have bought a good car. To buy a house is more difficult in my country, but I keep hoping. Many of us had to 'fight poverty' and leave it behind, if we could. A penetrating, psychological poem.
