'Do you like poetry? '
Asked Madame Bovary of her lover,
'I love you', he responded,
'Poetry is, loving one another'.

Does this come from the novel? I remember her first lover wins her heart by telling her he loves to listen to the deep, dark German music, which I suppose would be Brahms, Schumann, the Romantics in general. That appreciation made the man seem so different from her colorless husband. Emma Bovary-a symbol of our restless inner self who can never be fulfilled, unless - unless - (Oh, I cant finish that sentence: I'm waiting for you to do so!)

Love as the personification of poetry. Madame B. had to give him extra points for that line. : -)
