Simply Love - Poem by Sandra Feldman

What is Love?
Emotion, devotion,
And oh, so much more,
The thrill of a Lifetime,
Completion, grandeur,
Embracing another,
Like never before.

Love's miracle opens,
Of Heaven, the door,
When softly you whisper,
My love, 'Je t'adore'.

Love always Eternal,
And never a Sin,
It is the great moment,
When Life does begin.

Yes, that's the essence of our human invention of love - it marks the beginning of a truly human life. Or did some greater power we must submit to invent love as a gift to us. Either way It's the thrilling experience you detail in your poem - with words like devotion, adoration, suggesting the highest value placed on a beloved. Your poem makes the act of loving seem so natural, spontaneous, everyday - That's a truth that needs repeating. So I'm going to re-read your poem! (Report) Reply
