Game Of Lies Poem by Chirag Rai

Game Of Lies

Rating: 4.8

A Game of Lies is what you play
The truth concealed every which way
Disguised from the world is your soul
Lies shall never make you whole

However atrocious the crime maybe
A flawless lie can set you free
Run away you shall with uncertainty
The truth will never let you be

For you have played the Game of Lies
The truth shall always win the ultimate prize
Perish should you for having lied
For the truth never died

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I think everyone has lied at one point or another. He has been lied to as well. Contrary to the poem no one can lead a life without having lied. But one has to remember that the truth is right around the corner destined to pounce on that lie.

The truth about a lie is that it is a lie. A dear friend wrote a poem for me and this was one of the lines in it. Truth can never be disputed, and a lie is never changed through illusion. Your imagery and rhythm are impeccable! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn. ,

Beautiful piece of poetry, well articulated and insightfully penned with conviction. There's always a conflict going on between truth and falsehood, to uphold one is to overthrow the other, but ultimately in the end truth shall always prevail. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
