I was dead when you found me
As the stars passed around
I was ready to go
Wishing the days would pass by faster
When you slumbled upon a corpse
Laying deep inside the ground
The dirt had been kicked over
My eyes barely above ground
When you saw me in the garden
Where the plants were overgrown
I had accepted I was useful
Only as fertile soil
What you found was way past breaking
The ground was there to take me
When you brushed the soil off me
And saw me deep within the ground
The garden over growing
My soul fed it like a weed
My heart bled until it didn't
And the flowers grew in best
I wished for something special
When I walked amongst the dead
Until the demons took me
And I fell amongst the rest
I was dead when you found me
There was nothing left to hurt
My heart it had stopped beating
No reason left to live
The roots they clutched my fingers
A somber embrace as I left
Nothing was here to live for
My soul buried with the rest
God knew I was coming
Nothing could change my final rest
I was dead when you found me
An empty vessel
Buried with the rest
