Generic Quandary Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Generic Quandary

Rating: 5.0

Without a brand name what would it be?
A no name brand… without individuality
Having the stature of vague sameness
With the distinctness of being nameless

Among drug prescriptions there is a monetary break
The generic script is less expensive for you to take
Now let’s see, is there any mention of ambiguity?
Can a substance be accepted for its equal peculiarity?

A person emerges from a crowd who is nondescript
With a face whose recollection is often skipped…
A common person whose title has no special ring
Still can stand in place and have a song to sing

They don’t have to be concerned about being recognized
Being common eliminates the need for a cover disguise
Being generic is an advantage among drugs and people…
Their appearance doesn’t make them any less equal…
