how long can their life be so worthless
how long can war be so persistent?

how long can world keep watching
how long can lips keep silent
how long can voices keep murmuring
how long can people keep getting annihilated
how long can minds stop worrying
how long can brothers forget their sisters
how long can parents forget their children
how long can Palestinians forget their homeland
how long can they keep running?

how long will the war keep imposing injuries
how long will there be wounds and fatalities
how long will hospitals treat patients
how long will families be roofless
how long will they live in make-shift tents
how long will they survive thro the hardships
how long will children face the hunger
how long will mothers be restless
how long will their endurance persist
how long will injustice and deaths drag on
how long will genocide linger on?
