What about the elephant
That is sitting in the room,
Do we just forget it
And face the doom and gloom?
Or do we say we see it
And move it to the zoo?
There’s only one way to confront it.
Do as the mouse would do.
Scare the hell out of it just one time
With the tiniest squeak.
And when it shows a little fear,
Millions of voices must speak.
“We’re here to take our country back
And we will not leave.
Every last one of you politicos
Have larceny up your sleeve.
Take your bags and baggage.
Gather up your gear.
We’ve had all we’re gonna take.
We’re tired of living in fear.”
Now march yourselves out of our house.
Our Capitol and senate rooms.
For we have to clean up the stench you made
With our mops and brooms.
Now, the elephant that was there
Will finally disappear.
And freedom and liberty once again
Will clear the atmosphere.
