Getting Personal Poem by Raymond Farrell

Getting Personal

When my wife died
It was a great loss
But there was closure
When my son
At the peak
Of academic brilliance
Became mentally ill
Something died in me
There is acceptance
There is understanding
But there is no closure.

Closure is a ridiculous concept. I offer my condolences, Raymond. Writing is a good source of catharsis

I'm sorry for your lost. I can feel your pain that once I had.. It's not easy. There is acceptance There is understanding But there is no closure. But time heals the wounded heart Scar leaves a mark.. Be strong!
