Ghost Riders Of The Sands Poem by David Harris

Ghost Riders Of The Sands

The sands around Las Vegas
hold many mysteries of their own.
For over fifty years now
a legend has grown about
the Ghost Riders of the Sands.

Just as the spears of sunset
begin to break the sky.
The sound of galloping hoofs
breaking the silence can be heard
and if you look across towards the sunset
you can see a cloud of dust
of cowboys going hell bent for leather.

Many have asked who they are
and where do they come from,
but no one can really say.
Only that if you hear and see them there.
You will be lucky
at the gambling machines and tables
all the next day and many have found this true.
