Gifts Of The Heart Poem by Barbara Parris

Gifts Of The Heart

Rating: 5.0

I wonder
Sometimes,
Not being sure
Of what you were
But knowing
You were
An injured angel
Tender, needy,
Yet giving.

When I die
Your name will
Be on my lips
In thanks
For the Ark
You gave me to
Stay afloat.

What a beautiful way of saying thank you....Often it is spoken once....but to feel grateful for a lifetime, indeed a gift and a lovely sentiment. Sweet, simple and stirring all at once. BRAVO! PEACE

An excellent poem of gratitude, in recognition of a favor in the long lost past. I wonder how many would do this with such poetic expression! Rated this poem 10/10.
