Girl, dry those tears from your eyes
Just pick your heart from off the floor
He has left you brokenhearted
He has just hurt you more and more
Why did you not see
That there was no love in his heart
He has proven himself to be unworthy
Right from the very start
He smiles in your face
But he uses and abuses you
So controlling, and yet so conniving
Your poor heart has been broken in two
Now is the time for you to start over
Remove those dark clouds from the sky
Find your inner strength
Raise your spirits from low to high
Whenever I see you
You appear to be in a somber mood
Turn that frown upside down
Strive to find your inner groove
