Give Me A Lass Poem by Randy McClave

Give Me A Lass

Give me a lass
Wearing a brand new dress,
And my love for her
I will always confess.
If the dress be blue
And it's above her knees,
I will fall in love quickly
My eyes it would please.
But, this truth I will say
if the length is to her feet,
I would fall in desire
Temptation I would surely meet.

Give me a lass
Who drinks not beer, but wine,
We will share a glass together
Then I will make her all mine.
Her glass would never be empty
Nor would it be full,
Our love would be forever
Dreams would also be our fuel.
Her and I would always be true
As we would hold each other's hand,
We'd be drunk from love and wine
As we'd help each other stand.

Give me a lass
Who would say she would love no other man,
Wearing her blue gown
I would then want her in my clan.
I would love her now and forever
As we would go out drinking,
While holding each other tightly
Our future, I would happily be thinking.
Find me that woman
Contained with a little sass,
And the only request I would ask of you
Would be, "give me that Lass".
