Give Peace a Chance
It is cold very cold freezing temperatures
a mild drizzle
yet unmindful she stands silently
like a statue under the loneliest tree
all about her come and see
why such depth of silence
they wonder who is she
so very sweet and lovely
is fine a veritable Divine
her eyes don't blink
stark into the daylight distant
rare vision
no one knows where she is looking
Yet her mission is just to draw
a large searching crowd
who will come and see
where she is looking
what is her message! ! !
Blank into the distant horizon
expansive wilderness
mind totally blissfully absent
all come and shed a tear
many say smile
O dear
she has a silent demeanour
yet she conveys
why this War and trouble
Give Peace a chance
a tear falls
then ups her umbrella
mission complete
it snows now nonstop
having conveyed her message
give a chance to PEACE
Let all live like friends kith and kin
moves out to the distance
so obscure
So all sing and say as a single voice
pray
Give Peace a chance you may.

It's a pleasure to read this beautiful poem again. Its message as relevant today as was yesterday.
Man never gave a chance to the goddess of peace and he will never give it to her. I don't know wy we think war is a game. Wars give only adhoc solutions. An amazing poem written in love of peace.
Though it is very cold freezing temperature and mild drizzle yet she stands silently like a statue under the loneliest tree due to the shock and scare in her mind about the war and trouble. We get lifeless bodies and havoc only from war and nothing else. But we need peace ever. Let all live like friends kith and kin. The title of the poem 'Give Peace a Chance' is appropriated as per depiction. The way of presentation is unique and startling. A beautiful poem.10
