Since I was born I've been taught to
Be grateful for the gift of life,
And always strive to think and do
For others through both joy and strife.
So when to much in self I go,
I am reminded that I need
Readjust my mindfulness so
I help others in thought and deed.
When usefulness I think and do
There is a joy that's given strong,
All the more reason to pursue
The gift of giving all life long.

Life is a gift given to me
To give to others joyfully.
